Our Hike

I stole these pictures from my sister's blog. I didn't take a camera on our hike, good thing she did. This is the hike in American Fork Canyon we went on last weekend. I haven't seen a head-on picture of myself in tight work out clothes while pregnant before...not that cute...sorry attendees of my gym. My belly and chest are reaching epic proportions. But at least the weather, the scenery, and the company was great! I love hiking and camping and am really looking forward to not having a heavy, wiggly parasite complicating all my fun (j/k...it wasn't that bad), and I'm excited for Adam to get to carry her up mountains!

Belly Pics

These are a bit old (I'm 27 weeks now) but I still wanted to post them. Maybe I'll take an update one soon since I am MUCH bigger (and more uncomfortable) now.

Alyvia's Birthday Cake & The Weekend

On Saturday, Adam and I met up with my mom, Aliese, and Darrin and we went on a hike in American Fork Canyon. It was just under 3 mile round trip but it kind of kicked my butt. Being 6 months pregnant makes hiking a little more difficult than I though it would be. The pregnant/asthma was especially awesome. But it was still really fun. I'm glad we went. Even if I did make everyone stop way more than they would have otherwise.

That night, Adam and I went on a hot date to Aristo's (awesome Greek food) and to see Rent. Adam got me the tickets to Rent for my birthday last month and I've been looking forward to it ever since. It was splendid and made me wish I hadn't misplaced my copy of the DVD. I've had the music stuck in my head ever since and I'm sure Adam has loved having me randomly sing different bits.

Our niece, Alyvia, turned five and had a birthday party at Pizza Pie Cafe on Sunday. I made her birthday cake. She loved it. I think this might be my best work yet. I forgot to take a camera to the actual party so I'll post of picture of her with her cake as soon as I get one from someone else.
Pretty cute, huh? It was my first go at fondant roses but I think they turned out nicely.

Goodbye, Gus!

This is Gus. Adam's had this truck the entire time I've known him (8 years, by the way). Gus has been great. I love this truck. Adam got a promotion at work which came with a work car. So now he drives a Ford Fusion. We'd been saving up to get him a new car anyway and he thought the proceeds from Gus could go toward that. Adam posted his Toyota Pickup on ksl classifieds and after MANY phone calls and offers, we sold it...within 24 hours of posting it. I was pretty sad to see this truck go. We've had such good times with this truck and the bed is excellent for camping in. But since there isn't a legal spot for Baby Kay to ride, selling it was for the best. I hope Gus like Guatemala.

BYU Womens Conference

At the end of April some of the girls in my family went to BYU womens conference. My aunt, Patti, spoke the first day. I missed her talk but went the second day with the rest of the group and we had a good time. We went to the pizza factory afterwards. My grandma (the namesake of my unborn and the greatest old gal on the block) was so amused by the huge swirly breadsteaks. She's a gem!
