Happy Birthday Natalie!
My "baby" sister Natalie just turned 16. She's driving. It's nuts. Natalie is a really cool girl. She kind of dances to the beat of her own drum and I really admire her for that. She is spunky, smart, artistic, and really sweet. I made a cake for her birthday and Adam and I went to my parents to celebrate the greatest little sister ever. Happy Birthday, Natalie!

Valentine's Day
*someday, I may post the picture I have of our first Valentine's Day together - but I don't have it on this computer*
AK is kind of anti-Valentine's Day. First, because it's so commercial. Second, because he's nice to me everyday. On Valentine's Day, we rocked our usual homemade, heart-shaped mini pizzas. Adam made these for me on our very first Valentine's Day together (in 2005). We had an overturned laundry basket as a table. It was magical. We have kept the tradition alive (going out is CRAZY busy...we'd rather stay in). I got him 2 shirts and...some other stuff. He got me the greatest movie of all time. He gave me the Anne trilogy. I have the VHS version (taped off of the PBS marathanne) but I am so so happy to have the DVD's (since we don't usually have our VHS player hooked up). And the champ even watched it with me. Winner!
Even though our Valentine's Day was great (for a Monday), it wasn't that different from any other day (except I got a movie!). Adam likes to get me random prizes. So that sometimes happens anyway. We love making dinner together if we are both home. And he pretty much always lets me choose the show we watch or activity we do (don't worry, sometimes I choose things he'd prefer). So, really everyday is kind of Valentine's Day at my house. Because the champ spoils me rotten.
Adam is the best. He always asks me, "can I get you anything?" Or similar questions. He also cleans our toilets. All the time. Without being asked. He does the dishes at least as much as I do. And he pretty much supports me (both emotionally and financially). He's got my back and I love him more than anything. He's hot...really...so attractive. He's hilarious. He gets me. He's sarcastic. He's a genius (he knows everything...it's kinda nuts). He is the nicest guy. I struck gold. Seriously, I won big. Adam is the best.
Adam, thanks for being the best husband every single day and not just on Valentine's Day. You rock my world!

Kelli. Kelltick. Kelli Genius.
Kelli and I grew up together. She is my cousin. My best cousin friend. We played barbies, dug snow caves, played in the river, and played in the teepees. She is hilarious and sarcastic. And (obviously) super pretty. She really is one of my all time favorite people in the whole world. Her dad died of cancer when I was 8. I think she was 5. He was an awesome guy and I am running the relay in his memory. Kelli is in AZ this semester so I've sure missed her at family stuff. Hopefully she comes home soon! Thanks for donating, Kelli! You are great.

Our protectors
My second year at USU, I lived in a bungalo nicknamed the "crack house" (aptly named) with some really cool girls. And some less cool rodents. We had a bit of an infestation. It was revolting. And our horrible landlord did pretty much nothing about it for months (until one day an exterminator just showed up in my bedroom bright an early, I was still in bed and not exactly dressed for company...awesome). Ever since then, I've kind of had issues with rodents. I basically never want to see one ever again. Ever. Espcially not in my house.
Now we live in fairly rural area with quite a bit of open space around us. aka rodent breeding ground. I have had the misfortune of seeing a mouse run across the road, but luckily, I have never seen one (or any evidence of one) in my house. And I owe that to the largest cats around. There are two cats (belonging to neighbors) that roam the neighborhood and keep us all safe from mice. These cats are domestic house cats but they are massive. We see them in our yard a lot (one lives next door). And while I'm not a major cat fan, I LOVE that they are keeping our yard and house pest free. These cats are my favorites.
The other day, we met this big fella:
The picture doesn't do it justice. It is the biggest cat in the world. It has a mane! I am not convinced it's a cat. It definitely isn't domestic. It is wiley and has mad skills. It walked over the the rocks in front of our house and sat on patrol, acting like it owned the place. Our personal bobcat is seriously the size of a medium sized dog. I wish I got a closer picture. And while I might be a little scared of the biggest cat ever (and the neighborhood cats seem to be as well), I welcome him to my home and hope he sticks around. No mice for me!
